Over the years, I received a number of fine letters from clients that I would like to share with you. Although all of them have agreed to be published, I am revealing only their initials to protect their privacy. Here is a small selection:

my husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help you provided us during our most difficult and confusing journey toward US citizenship.
Our long journey started with our green card application and you were there for us until the final step, the US citizenship.
You became more than our lawyer, you were our friend and our trusted advisor.
Thank you again for everything, you are the best!!!

Dear Ms Rick,
I would like to thank you for your hard work, encouragement and professionalism during my case. I knew that it was going to be an uphill battle but I could not have chosen a better, positive, empathetic attorney. As I told you in your office the first time that we met, God led me to you because I just randomly selected you from Alabama Immigration attorneys after being told that I had no hope by previous attorneys. Today, my family and I thank you because all of your hard work paid off and I am now a Citizen of the United States of America which is a privilege that I am so grateful for and will never take for granted. Again, I thank you and may God continue to bless you for the work that you do for individuals such as myself.

Dear Ms Rick,
We would like to thank you for your time and help and for your legal services for the immigration process. We would surely recommend your name to our friends seeking legal advice related to immigration.

We wanted to take a moment to share our heartfelt appreciation for your hard work and efforts Mrs. Rick! We knew at the beginning that there were no guarantees and how hard this would be. Knowing that, we appreciate your willingness to "fight the good fight" on our behalf! We thank you for your will to do what nobody else would, your perseverance and for not backing down. We will refer any family and friends to you if the need ever arises, completely confident that they are in extremely competent and caring hands.
Thank you again for everything Mrs. Rick and may God bless you!

When I came to the U.S. in the late 70's, I was very young and I got into trouble with the law 4 or 5 times. After a couple [of] decades of being a legal resident, I decided to apply for U.S. Citizenship. I knew, it was not going to be easy. Mrs. Dagmar Rick took my case. She is very professional and knowledgeable of the immigration laws and the legal system. After a few month I got my CITIZENSHIP, my family and I are very grateful to HER.
February 27, 2012
We first decided to go to Dagmar for a consultation to see our options on what we could do. She was so helpful and everything was always so smooth we couldn't have asked for a better attorney! We thought there might be a few complications but thanks to Dagmar she made a time which should be stressful extremely easy and stress-free! We will definitely use Dagmar again regarding any immigration issues if we have any.

I have to say that Ms. Dagmar Rick is one of the most professional lawyers I have had the pleasure to work with. She worked on my case as if it was hers. She did not stop working on it until we got what we wanted...and we did!!! I am very grateful to her as she gave me a chance for a new life in this country.

Dear Mrs. Rick,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation for all the time and hard work you have invested in my case. I finally achieved my goal after 8 years of waiting and trying different immigration attorneys, you are the only one who made it happen. If I know anyone that needs any immigration assistance you will be the first one I would recommend, after my experience. Thanks again for all your time and help. I will always be grateful for your service.

I had never been involved with the immigration process before but it didn't take long for me to realize I needed professional help. I can't tell you enough how lucky my wife and I feel to have been directed to your offices. You have made a very complicated and heart wrenching undertaking seem almost effortless. I could not imagine anyone starting the immigration process without your guidance. Every form you filed and the information submitted on our behalf was correct the first time, something we could not have done on our own. Thanks to you, our undertaking in such a daunting endeavor became a simple step-by-step process rather than the mountain of endless paper work and sleepless nights that we saw ahead of us at first. My wife (then fiance) and her son received the fiance visa's much faster than we had expected and were happily on their way to Alabama. After our marriage, your assistance provided us with the reassurance that we were never alone in this process while we waited for their green-cards to arrive.
And again, you provided us with peace of mind and encouragement during our recent unpleasantness where a trip back to South America saw their green-cards being threatened by circumstances beyond our control. We found comfort in the fact that knowing our documents were in order and you were available to assist and advise us in an emergency. Due largely in part to your attention to detail and knowledge of proper documentation, our family is together and enjoying being at home in Alabama.
Dagmar, we know you are a professional in your field but we believe what makes you a great professional is that you genuinely care about the families and people you represent. You will always be in our hearts and have a very special place in our family.

It is in great honor to write a letter of recommendation for Dagmar Rick.
Recently my husband received his permanent resident approval for immigration because of her. She made sure that the USCIS had every bit of detail that they needed. We have wasted our hard earned money on so many so called "lawyers" that we had lost hope. She represented my husband at his appointment with immigration and thank goodness because they really try to trick you. My husband after 17 years was able to see his father in Mexico. And my children were able to meet their other half of their family not only the ones that live in the United States. My husband can work for his family now and be a proud hard working man. We cried the day we got the letter in the mail that said "welcome to the United States of America." She saved my husband from the risk of being deported and not being with his children and wife. My husband truly calls her his angel.
P.S.: My husband really did say that as he was crying.

I can't thank you enough for helping my son to obtain his American citizenship. Without your understanding and knowledge we could not do it. We started the application process without discussing his situation with a professional and as we learned it the hard way, that was a big mistake. However, your knowledge of the laws and understanding of our problems helped us through the hardest times. My advice to those who are just beginning the immigration process is to consult a professional.
We are fortunate to have you here in Birmingham.
Thank you and I wish you many more years of excellent service in good health.

Sometimes is very difficult to put in words or explain, how a person can make a huge impact in others peoples live, or how important that person is for you to have peace of mind in a foreign country when your future depends on her, but still I am going to try, because Dagmar, you are that person.
When we moved to Alabama and find out we needed a new Immigration Attorney, we were very concerned because we knew no one over here that can give us a hand in pointing us into the right direction. As you know by now, [my husband] and I, are very simple but organized and straight forward people, who always want to do the right thing, with the best people around us, because our future depends on them. When we ask for some advise to the only person we knew here in town that can have some information, and that was our closing attorney, he immediately told us your name, and told us that you were the best in what you do.
Immediately I called you and you as always, were kind enough to meet us right away, and also, as sometimes happens for his job, my husband could not make it to the appointment, which under other circumstances for me it would make no difference, but when it comes to immigration and paperwork and all we have to do in order to do everything right, is very nerve wracking for me, because is a sensitive issue, and one feels that you need all the moral support you can have, and yet you were so kind and patient with me to explain our case, and that, meant a lot to us.
Imagine now our relieve, when, on top of having found an extremely kind and warmth person to strangers, we found one of the smartest, knowledgeable, and experts attorneys on immigration law that we have ever talked to. Maybe you don't realize because it is your job and you are around this daily, but NOT EVEN ONCE, when we met with you, or talked to you over the phone, you consulted any book, manual or website to be certain on the information you were giving us. You gave us an straight answer, to any question that we might have, without hesitation, and always in hand with your kindness and re-assuring tone that everything will go fine. And it DID!
Dagmar, I can not thank you enough for all your professionalism, kindness and expertise in how you handle our case, to get the most positive outcome in record time, at least for us.
I hope that we can continue in contact in the future and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi Dagmar - just wanted to extend my sincere appreciation for everything you did throughout the past year. Dear Ms. Rick,
Thank you for your timely help in my wife gaining legal status. Your knowledge of the Immigration system, applications, and representing us before the Homeland Security Office in Atlanta was most helpful.
Thank you for your service.

Dear Ms. Rick,
We were seeking guidance for obtaining my wife's permanent resident status. Dagmar Rick's reputation of dealing with matters such as this reached us even though we reside almost two hours away. After speaking with her the first time, she alleviated most all worries we were having. Mrs. Rick made our case through the maze of required paper work and litigation as seamless as possible. My wife now enjoys her permanent resident status and we would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone. She is definitely a specialist in her field.

Dear Ms. Rick,
We would like to thank you for all of your assistance in our greencard process! We came to you with so many fears that it would take forever to get C's greencard, not expecting that you would be able to help us get it done in such a quick manner. Thanks to your efficiency and knowledge of the many complicated laws, the process was started and completed within 6 months! We never thought that after trying to figure out the many forms and laws for 5 years, we could have simply come to you and accomplished this without stress. The process, when using a lawyer is far less complicated for people and we will recommend to any persons that we know, that they should immediately come to you for assistance. You paved a very smooth road and stayed on this road with us until the very end, including traveling with us to the Immigration and Naturalization interview, we cannot thank you enough for all of the patience during our many questions, and never will be able to thank you enough for knowing all of the answers to those questions.
You ROCK, Mrs. Rick!
Thank you again,

I wanted to send you a short note to thank you for the excellent job you did on behalf of my wife, C. B., in securing a Green Card on a timely basis.
Immigration paperwork is certainly detailed and error prone and your expert assistance in correctly and efficiently preparing all the documentation was key to C. obtaining her immigrant status with the minimum amount of delay. In fact, thanks to your input and advice, the whole process went smoothly; C. received approval of her resident alien status in a matter of weeks after the interview in Atlanta.
Once again, thank you so much for your sage and professional counsel. We would thoroughly recommend your firm on any immigration matters based on our own very positive experience.
