Over the years, I received a number of fine letters from clients that I would like to share with you. Although all of them have agreed to be published, I am revealing only their initials to protect their privacy. Here is a small selection:

Dear Dagmar,

When I came to the U.S. in the late 70's, I was very young and I got into trouble with the law 4 or 5 times. After a couple [of] decades of being a legal resident, I decided to apply for U.S. Citizenship. I knew, it was not going to be easy. Mrs. Dagmar Rick took my case. I had never been involved with the immigration process before but it didn't take long for me to realize I needed professional help. I can't tell you enough how lucky my wife and I feel to have been directed to your offices. You have made a very complicated and heart wrenching undertaking seem almost effortless. It is in great honor to write a letter of recommendation for Dagmar Rick.

Recently my husband received his permanent resident approval for immigration because of her. She made sure that the USCIS had every bit of detail that they needed. We have wasted our hard earned money on so many so called "lawyers" that we had lost hope. She represented my husband at his appointment with immigration and thank goodness because they really try to trick you. My husband after 17 years was able to see his father in Mexico. And my children were able to meet their other half of their family not only the ones that live in the United States. My husband can work for his family now and be a proud hard working man. We cried the day we got the letter in the mail that said "welcome to the United States of America." She saved my husband from the risk of being deported and not being with his children and wife. My husband truly calls her his angel.

Dear Dagmar,

Sometimes is very difficult to put in words or explain, how a person can make a huge impact in others peoples live, or how important that person is for you to have peace of mind in a foreign country when your future depends on her, but still I am going to try, because Dagmar, you are that person.

When we moved to Alabama and find out we needed a new Immigration Attorney, we were very concerned because we knew no one over here that can give us a hand in pointing us into the right direction. As you know by now, [my husband] and I, are very simple but organized and straight forward people, who always want to do the right thing, with the best people around us, because our future depends on them. When we ask for some advise to the only person we knew here in town that can have some information, and that was our closing attorney, he immediately told us your name, and told us that you were the best in what you do.

Immediately I called you and you as always, were kind enough to meet us right away, and also, as sometimes happens for his job, my husband could not make it to the appointment, which under other circumstances for me it would make no difference, but when it comes to immigration and paperwork and all we have to do in order to do everything right, is very nerve wracking for me, because is a sensitive issue, and one feels that you need all the moral support you can have, and yet you were so kind and patient with me to explain our case, and that, meant a lot to us.
